October 7 – Celebrate Texas Wine Month
TEXAS WINE COUNTRY REMAINS TOP DESTINATION
Those of us who live in or near Texas Wine Country know first-hand that it’s a popular and always busy wine region. But it’s always nice to be recognized by others for being one of the top wine destinations in the country.
The Texas Hill Country was recently named the #3 Best Wine Region by USA Today’s 10Best contest.
USA Today’s 10Best contests rely on a panel of experts that partner with 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees, and then USA Today readers vote for the winners. So yes, it’s a bit of a popularity contest, but always glad to see Texas wine lovers show up and vote.

A CELEBRATION OF TEXAS WINE AND TEXAS CHEESE
Like Texas grape growers and wineries, Texas cheesemakers are passionate about the land, animals and milk that result in award-winning cheese that often reflect the season. That’s why Texas wines and Texas cheeses are such a great pairing.
Texas Fine Wine teamed up with Antonelli’s Cheese to create our first-ever cheese and wine pairing guide featuring four of our wines with four Texas cheeses. The guide also includes pro tips on how to pair cheeses with wines.

SNOW & ICE COVER TEXAS WINE COUNTRY
For many Texans, President’s Day was hardly a holiday. Most woke up that morning without power because of an unprecedented cold spell that plunged temperatures to single digits and brought snow and ice across the state, crippling the state’s electric grid for nearly a week. Days later, residents were hit with a one-two punch with water outages across many communities. By the weekend, temperatures started to rise, snow finally melted away, and everyone finally had a moment to breathe.
TEXAS FINE WINE TALK AND TASTE
Texas Fine Wine invites our friends and wine enthusiasts to join us for a monthly virtual Texas Fine Wine Talk and Taste! Given the pandemic precludes us from hosting in-person tasting events, we are going to host monthly virtual tastings and conversations about various wine topics and new releases. These will be casual and fun and a chance for us to “see you” and catch up on wine news.
BRENNAN VINEYARDS UPDATE
Brennan Vineyards owners Pat and Trellise Brennan are transitioning into retirement and will be handing the reins of the day-to-day operations over to the team at the Texas Wine Collective. This change brings a renewed commitment to producing fine wines, but will not include continued membership in the Texas Fine Wine Group.
