Like Texas grape growers and wineries, Texas cheesemakers are passionate about the land, animals and milk that result in award-winning cheese that often reflect the season. That’s why Texas wines and Texas cheeses are such a great pairing.

Texas Fine Wine teamed up with Antonelli’s Cheese to create our first-ever cheese and wine pairing guide featuring four of our wines with four Texas cheeses. The guide also includes pro tips on how to pair cheeses with wines. You can view it here and below are the featured pairings:

Bending Branch Winery Tannat Frizzante paired with Pure Luck Farm & Dairy ‘June’s Joy’

Duchman Family Winery Sangiovese paired with River Whey Creamery ‘Indigo Ridge’

Pedernales Cellars Texas GSM Melange paired with Eagle Mountain Farmhouse Cheese ‘Granbury Vintage’

Spicewood Vineyards High Plains Tempranillo paired with Veldhuizen Cheese ‘Fat Tailed Tomme’

May 14 Celebration of Texas Wine + Texas Cheese

We will share these pairings at a special May 14 event at the Bending Branch Winery Wine Club Lounge (outside and socially distanced). Each guest will receive an individual Antonelli’s box with the four Texas cheeses, meat, fruit and crackers and a 2-ounce pour of each featured wine. We’d love to see you! Details here!

May 13 Talk and Taste – Wine + Cheese Pairings

We will also discuss wine and cheese pairings at our May 13 Talk and Taste. The featured wines for this Talk and Taste are slightly different: Bending Branch Tannat Frizzante, Duchman Family Winery Sangiovese, Pedernales Cellars Viognier Reserve and Spicewood Vineyards Syrah. Pick up one of these wines (or your favorite wine from these wineries) and pair it with a cheese that you love and tell us about it.

Cheers to Texas Wines + Texas Cheeses!
