Celebrating its 22nd year as the only competition that honors the best of the best among American wineries, the Jefferson Cup Invitational awarded Jefferson Cups to Pedernales Cellars for its 2017 Texas GSM Melange and to Spicewood Vineyards for its 2017 Estate Syrah.
The Jefferson Cup is a different sort of wine competition in that it is an invitational in which 750 wines are pre-selected that exemplify top viticulture and winemaking throughout America. Of these wines, the judges selected 34 Jefferson Cup winners from 13 states.
Pedernales Cellars and Spicewood Vineyards were the only Texas wines to receive Jefferson Cups.
