It’s the holidays so let’s talk sparkling wines! Earlier this year, Spicewood Vineyards made its first traditional method sparkling wine: the 2022 Sammie’s Sparkling, a blend of Muscat, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. This small production wine has already sold out so now it’s time for the 2023 vintage.
The 2023 Sammie’s Sparkling, named after one of owner Ron Yates’ daughters, is 100% Muscat with highly aromatic notes of honeysuckle, jasmine, candied lemon, nectarine and melon. A fun sparkling with lots of bubbles and fresh acidity.
