PRE-HARVEST REPORT
“Well, it’s flooding down in Texas” – NOT! If only Stevie Ray Vaughn’s song was true right now. No, we don’t want floods, but a little rain would be nice. 2022 is staring down another hot and dry summer season, although we hope we don’t approach the 40 consecutive days of 100+ degrees we experienced in 2011.

WINERIES NEAR SAN ANTONIO
We see many wine enthusiasts looking for wineries near San Antonio so thought we’d put together a day-long outing to hit two fabulous wineries where you will want to spend some time.
Head out I-10 and Highway 87 toward Comfort and within 45 minutes, you will travel down a windy, rural road and arrive at Bending Branch Winery, named Best Winery for the 7th year in a row from the San Antonio Express-News YourSA Readers’ Choice Awards. Reservations are recommended, but not required. Dogs on leash are welcome outside.
LOOKING TO VISIT WINERIES NEAR AUSTIN?
We get lots of questions from wine enthusiasts looking for wineries near Austin so thought we’d share a couple of our favorite half-day trips! Both Duchman Family Winery and Spicewood Vineyards are about 30 to 45 minutes from Central Austin. Both are easy drives!
