The 2023 Trebbiano is the second vintage for Pedernales Cellars, a white wine made with fruit from Pepper Jack Vineyards in the Texas High Plains. The 2023 Trebbiano will be released in April – enjoy the 2022 while it lasts!
The Pepper Jack Vineyards’ Trebbiano has flavors of apple and citrus, but also interesting notes of steely, wet wool that is similar to Chenin Blanc. Not as finicky to work with as Vermentino, the Trebbiano is becoming one of Pedernales’ favorite white wines.
This medium-bodied white has hints of tangerine, white flowers, wet stone and green apple that will pair nicely with creamy cheeses, prosciutto-wrapped cod and other fatty fish.
