Duchman Family Winery Grape Growers BBQ White
A blend of Roussanne, Trebbiano and Vermentino, the Grape Growers BBQ White has notes of peach, pear, stone fruit and white flowers.
A special brand from Duchman Family Winery, the Grape Growers BBQ lineup also includes BBQ Rosé and BBQ Red – easy-drinking, good value wines that are sure to impress.
Pedernales Cellars 2022 Kyla
This sparkling Semillon from Pedernales Cellars kicks off any summer party with plenty of fine and elegant bubbles. It has floral, white peach and golden delicious apple notes with a hint of biscotti and almond on the finish.
The Kyla (pronounced “shoola” which means ‘to chill’ in Swedish) is a pet-nat sparkling wine, which means it finishes its fermentation in the bottle, creating soft, fizzy, fresh wines.
Spicewood Vineyards 2023 Sammie’s Sparkling
The Spicewood Vineyards Sammie’s Sparkling is 100% Muscat, offering notes of honeysuckle, nectarine and candied lemon. This small-production wine is one of a handful of Texas Hill Country sparkling wines made in the traditional Champagne method, an exciting development for Texas wine.
Bending Branch Winery 2021 Mourvèdre, Tallent Vineyards, Texas Hill Country
Let’s not forget red wines for summer – particularly lighter-style reds that showcase fabulous fruit when slightly chilled. The Bending Branch Winery 2021 Mourvèdre from Tallent Vineyards has layers of dried strawberry, cranberry, black currant and vanilla notes.
This is the first Mourvèdre from Tallent Vineyards, a long-time grower partner in Mason County, which is part of the proposed new Hickory Sands AVA.
Pair these wines with cheese and charcuterie and summer salads by the pool or with burgers, pork tenderloin and steaks off the grill. The sparkling wines are perfect pairings with a bucket of fried chicken on a picnic.
