For more than 10 years, Texas Fine Wine has raised the bar for Texas wine. Our wineries are recognized not only for making outstanding wines, but also leading the evolution of Texas wine through sustainability, innovation, craftsmanship and the pursuit of wines that will stand the test of time.
- Texas Fine Wine was established in 2014 as a marketing collective including Bending Branch Winery, Brennan Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery and Pedernales Cellars
- In 2016, Spicewood Vineyards joined Texas Fine Wine. In 2021, Brennan Vineyards owners transitioned into retirement and discontinued participation in Texas Fine Wine
Bending Branch Winery
- Bending Branch Winery was the first Texas winery to introduce flash détente in Texas and remains the only Texas winery with this equipment
- Bending Branch Winery was also the first to introduce an oak aging program using Texas’ native white oak (Quercus Alba)
Duchman Family Winery
- Duchman Family Winery was among the first Texas wineries to plant Italian varieties including Vermentino, Trebbiano, Aglianico and Montepulciano
- Duchman Family Winery was among the first Texas wineries to offer wine in kegs, notably in 2010 for Whole Foods Market
Pedernales Cellars
- Pedernales Cellars was the first Texas winery with an underground cellar that uses natural insulation of limestone and cooling soil to reduce energy costs
- Pedernales Cellars was one of the first Texas wineries to make wines using organic grapes with its 2021 Aletheia red blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre and 2024 Aletheia Rosé of Grenache and Mourvèdre
Spicewood Vineyards
- Spicewood Vineyards is one of the first Texas Hill Country wineries, established in 1992 and purchased by Ron Yates in 2007 to pursue his passion for Tempranillo and other Spanish varieties
- Ron Yates, owner of Spicewood Vineyards and namesake Ron Yates, introduced the first premium boxed Texas wine in 2025
- Our wineries have raised the bar for Texas wine and continue to honor Texas terroir.
- 2024 marked the 20th anniversary of Duchman Family Winery
