DAY TRIP TO SPICEWOOD VINEYARDS

Just 30 minutes from Austin, Spicewood Vineyards is an easy afternoon winery visit. Enjoy a tasting and cheese plate in its recently renovated tasting room or share a bottle on the deck overlooking the vineyard.

DAY TRIP TO DUCHMAN FAMILY WINERY AND SPICEWOOD VINEYARDS

Both Duchman Family Winery and Spicewood Vineyards are about 30 minutes from Austin. You can visit both wineries in one day – they are about an hour apart traveling through the beautiful Hill Country.

At Duchman Family Winery, enjoy a tasting, a private tour and tasting or grab a bottle and relax under the big oak trees or play cornhole on the estate’s beautiful Italianate villa and grounds.

At Spicewood Vineyards, enjoy a tasting and cheese plate in its recently renovated tasting room or share a bottle on the deck overlooking the vineyard.

Saturday

Start your morning at Duchman Family Winery or Spicewood Vineyards – both offer intimate tasting rooms and outdoor spaces. After enjoying a tasting and/or tour, head toward Fredericksburg.

Stop in Pedernales Cellars, which offers tastings in its Estate Tasting Room as well as Reserve Tasting of limited library and wine club wines. It also offers barrel tastings and tours. Enjoy a bottle on the deck covered by trees, overlooking unparalleled views of the Pedernales River Valley.

Drive into Fredericksburg for dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday

Leave Fredericksburg and head toward Comfort. Within 30 minutes, you’ll be at Bending Branch Winery. Enjoy a tasting at its Estate Winery and Tasting Room. If you are a Wine Club member, head to the Wine Club lounge and patio, overlooking the Hill Country.

After a leisurely visit, head back to Austin and swing by Duchman Family Winery or Spicewood Vineyards for an afternoon glass before heading home.
